Mirre absorbs her practice as an appearance of layers growing on each other but always preserving an emptiness. This is a starting point for a passage to all that already exists and what can become. Her inner reflections on her artistic practices flow back and forth to our outer landscape as a continuous reaction.

In this work she reflects on the two levels of her practice: rational awareness and an indistinct, fluid process, which symbolizes a paradox between safety and danger. Therefore, the unpredictable is a risk.

An empty space symbolizes a space for an unguided void, an undirected, unpredictable, and uncontrolled work to unfold. The removal of the rational creates an openness, an empty vessel, allowing for an open-ended inquiry. It emphasizes the need for the unknown as an opportunity to linger in an experience. An act of removal assumes significance as a conduit to the void. Whether the transformative removal of a head or a physical gesture of separation, it signifies vulnerability and liberation.

Similarly, mechanical systems don’t reflect on themselves; they simply operate. The relationship between the mechanics' body and the systems it belongs to, or the function it performs, merges into one. There is no separation between function and form, between the world and oneself, between the emptiness of my lungs and the air around me. Where do you distance yourself from the concept of reflexivity? The air we breathe and the blood in our bodies are not experienced as objects. It's action beyond reflection, becoming through function rather than form. However, this function lacks a goal or purpose beyond remaining an open-ended, undirected emptiness, ready to be filled temporarily. This emptiness is highlighted by the movements through the opening of the vessel.
