At the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague (KABK), we educate students to become independent and self-aware artists and designers with an enquiring mindset, who are able to produce authentic and profound creative works that advance their chosen disciplines and reflect society at large.
Our intensive and small-scale curriculum focuses on experimentation and personal guidance. It offers students a degree of freedom to develop their interests and personal ambitions. It also enables critical reflection on the ever-changing role of artists and designers in our society. Students are encouraged to question how art and design shape contemporary society and contribute to cultural, economic and social well-being in a global context.
Together with the Royal Conservatoire, we form the University of the Arts The Hague.
