There is an infinity of meaning beyond the human body and the human sense! Incredible surreal yet absolutely real things waiting for us to access them. Things that we can not comprehend yet, Things that might help us reflect on our current moment once we get closer to it. We must find ways to reach them, But perhaps our normal design methods don't allow this. So, the Myth of space, is my own foolish attempt to create a context and way of storytelling that would allow me and those I interact with, to try and approach otherly meanings. I do not try to provide answers but wish to facilitate thought and reflection. The project is able to be dissected into 3 main components :
1 - A Jester : an experiment about embodying a fool and the unknowing as a tool to easier access free thoughts and to better listen to others with less bias.
2 - A space : A made immersive spatial context, where it is possible to feel outside of the existing for a while, And a space where it is possible to experiment with sense making and meaning. It has been used as an interview space, self reflection space, and thought expression space. The spatial style is somewhat inspired by religious buildings and religious rituals, Only now there is the purpose not to fill in meaning for the visitors.
3 - A myth - From my own immersion as the Jester and from many surreal conversations I began to reflect on a certain myth, A kind of group of thoughts that might help people reflect on things beyond the human standard. To not reflect on subjectivities like morals and good and bad - But to create archetypical interpretations of space and experience that will remain relevant even if body and sense changes. I wrapped these thoughts in a story with characters and motivations. I hope this myth might inspire you. It is also frame of reference where the Jester and the Space are drawing their identities from. Now, and also in future expressions outside of KABK.
