Gosh, yes, sorry for the mess. It’s all ready to collapse. This wasteland hangar has formed a backdrop for me to invent, or rather pretend-invent, following where boyish joy leads. What happens when I render all this fantasy machinery out of material stuff?
This involves creating a large archive of detailed machine parts from a hoard of materials, without fully knowing how these pieces will come together. The good stuff happens when we messily but delicately join these pieces, constantly shifting between seeing them as machinery, material, or the last moment of operationality, desperate to be convincing.
Now, we must protect such boyish joy in tackling environmental, industrial, and labor challenges.
