[Nederlands] Het Speulderbos, gelegen in Gelderland, is een bijzondere plek van betekenis in Nederland. In dit bos bevinden zich honderden tempelheuvels met in het midden het heiligdom van Het Solse Gat. Dit gat is al eeuwenlang een centrum voor aanbidding van Germaanse traditionele religie, de Romeinse god Sol Invictus, en de nieuwe christelijke god. Elke overtuiging heeft zijn eigen verhalen rond dit gat, en alle hebben enorme waarde in de Nederlandse cultuur. 

“De Sage van Het Solse Gat” is een interactieve installatie bestaande uit 3D, film, audio en camera tracking. Verschillende stemmen vertellen de bezoeker verschillende gevestigde mythische verhalen over Het Solse Gat, een heiligdom midden in een bos. De verhalen verbinden de symbolische beeldtaal van een digitaal drieluik met maatschappelijke fenomenen met betrekking tot de juiste uitdrukking van de emotionele Nederlandse ‘doe maar normaal’ cultuur.

[English] Het Speulderbos, located in Gelderland, is a place of significance in the Netherlands. In this forest lay hundreds of temple hills with the sanctuary of Het Solse Gat in the middle. This hole has been a center of worship for centuries, from Germanic traditional religion, the Roman god Sol Invictus, and the New Christian god. Each belief has its own stories around this hole, and all of them have enormous worth in Dutch culture.

“The Sage of Het Solse Gat” is an interactive installation consisting of 3D, film, audio and camera tracking. Different voices tell the visitor various established mythical stories about Het Solse Gat, a sanctuary in the middle of a forest. The stories connect the symbolic imagery of a digital triptych with social phenomena related to the correct expression of the emotional Dutch 'doe maar normaal' culture.
