My childhood memories primarily inspire my project, as I spent most of my time with my grandparents who influenced and inspired me greatly. My grandmother used to share stories of her youth, including how she met my grandfather while they were both in the military. She was also skilled in handicrafts such as embroidery, crochet, and sewing. Therefore, I want to incorporate these techniques into my collection.

During that time, fabrics were costly, so many people had their clothes refashioned. They were encouraged to wear practical and utilitarian clothing. Fabrics were often made of sturdy materials such as cotton, linen, or wool, which inspired my choice of materials for this collection.

Overall, my collection is a fusion of different memorable moments from my childhood, brought together in my design concepts.
