AQUORA is a collaborative board game combining resource management and collective decision making. The game is set in a (near) dystopian future where the polar ice caps have melted and all land is flooded. Survivors live on floating platforms and dive to submerged cities in order to gather materials. Together they decide what to prioritise in order to survive, rebuild civilisation and thrive. The water is still rising and many adversities can befall the pontoon inhabitants. Inspired by the open assembly of the ancient Greek agora, AQUORA invites the public to gather around a table, and through playful speculation, discover possible solutions for future societies.
