Minnie Fawcett-Tang
Keywords: Oil paint, Selfportrait, Figurative
Surrounded by screens and constant distraction, we long for clarity yet are met with uncertainty. Vertigo explores the fragility of being young and free while mentally oversaturated. Much like repeating a word until it loses its meaning, Minnie uses both material and her own image to dissolve familiar associations, transforming painting into a mantra. Her works function as diary entries, documenting an ongoing and complex relationship with the self while reflecting a broader resistance to the attention economy of the digital age.
