Best of Both Worlds is a window into the mind of someone who has built an entire practice out of this kind of double life. Across Klaudia’s three video works, you will find euphoria, yearning, and delusion – symptoms of what happens when two lives begin to bleed into each other. You might also encounter words or phrases you’ve never heard before. Reality-shifting, mirror stage, emoji bpd tradwife etc etc etc. It may not matter whether you understand exactly what everything means. Maybe that’s part of the point...?

In Immediacy: The Style of Too Late Capitalism, contemporary critical theorist Anna Kornbluh argues that the internet, through its speed, frictionless circulation, and image overload, weakens the symbolic order – a condition where language, meaning, and interpretation lose their authority. What expands in its place is the imaginary: the realm of surfaces, reflections, identifications, and projected selves. Klaudia’s work operates within this condition. On one hand, mocking the perhaps masculine urge to overintellectualize the internet, on the other, suggesting there are other ways to engage with it entirely. Ever heard of meaning without words? Ever heard of scrolling with your heart?

When the symbolic loosens its grip, feeling becomes a form of knowing.

People become images, or images become people – and not always out of vanity. Sometimes out of desire, humor or the simple need to be seen.

This is the world Klaudia’s exhibition lives in. Her work is not simply “about the internet,” as if the internet were somewhere else, waiting to be analyzed from a safe distance. It begins from the fact that online and offline life are not separate. You post online to impress a crush you have in real life. You take pictures while already imagining their afterlife as content. A moment is lived and designed at the same time. You look up at the sky, and it’s Instagram-filter color-graded.

The worlds in Best of Both Worlds are many: offline and online, performance and sincerity, thinking and feeling…

Klaudia lives in both, and so do you. <3
