In life, death comes sooner or later, but how people cope with it is different for everyone. While joy and anger are often shown, many prefer to keep the grief of loss private. But why? Do we think it will all pass on its own? Or is it a topic we’d rather avoid discussing?
Grief isn’t taboo, and showing vulnerability is a difficult but meaningful step. Things We Carry stand for the emotions, experiences, and similarities we share as humans during a process of grief. The sculptures encourage dialogue and symbolize the mutual support we can find in one another.
