This short film explores my experiences with psychosis during the summer of 2022. A harsh experience that shaped me into the person I am today.
Following a non-linear narrative, the film takes place in my hometown in Switzerland, where I spent a month interned in a psychiatric hospital. Taking my own experiences as a source of inspiration, I depict delusions and hallucinations I’ve had through the act of staging. Through this work I blend memories, fiction and reality, portraying myself as the recurring character.
The psychosis then becomes an immersive experience for the viewer, bringing forward the notion of empathy for the other.
