Adding Spaces for Doing Nothing

The trends of industrialization and the pursuit of better success and achievement often prioritizes work over rest. Nowadays, our calendars are filled with tasks and deadlines to do, leaving little space for rest. This phenomenon leads us to burnout and guilt over taking breaks. Can't we truly take time to do nothing and rest?

Adding Spaces for Doing Nothing addresses this by helping young professionals incorporate true relaxation into their hectic schedules. Initiated by Jiye Kim's reflections, this calendar writing invites individuals to highlight moments of doing nothing within their routines, symbolized by attaching stones - a metaphor from the Korean saying, "I hope to be born as a stone and do nothing in my next life." This participatory project encourages sharing personal experiences and redefining relaxation, allowing visitors to embrace the value of doing nothing.
