"A Thing That Holds Something Else" is a performance exploring one's "halfness" (half-Dutch, half-Indonesian) using rice as the main ingredient. Rice farming practices, celestial movements, and cultural rituals are woven together in an intimate setting with the artist's personal stories. The work invites you to reflect on your own life and the connection to everyday elements that shape it, whether it be family, ancestry or food.
