Simon Labbé

~the trapper, the astronomer~ is an act of *En la Maison Dédalus*, a long-term opera project and research vehicle investigating the friction points between contrasting cosmologies. The opera as a whole dwells on the intricate interplays between ways of interpreting and ways of acting and making.

This act, staged as an installation in a sun-lit room of the KABK, attempts a form of "cosmic diplomacy" by bringing together the trapper and the astronomer in a single space to examine their respective ways of navigating, situating, naming, feeling and dreaming the worlds they inhabit.

The piece runs at the hour and last 60 minutes on the top floor of the Bleijenburg building.
