Hippo in the Living Room is a narrow projection into my childhood, a home where abuse, alcoholism, and narcissism were present but hidden in plain sight. Through this project, I reconnected with my father after 15 years and revisited painful memories, reclaiming my power by viewing the past through an adult gaze. The project consists of photographic prints and a publication of archival images.
