Neutral Museum started as a performance experiment doing a simple space intervention, by marking a zone as neutral, how does it affect the perception of neutrality of the people witnessing the intervention.
The Neutral Museum is traveling from site to site based on interest in collaborating with the ideas that others are playing with, it is in conversation with active participants who help shape the final performances through conversation, designing and producing the environments we’ll be playing in and by setting conditions based on needs and preferences. I sent all graduating participants a survey exploring and recording statements about their own work and what role we could play in it.
The Neutral Museum’s last work Once More with Feeling is a joyful sort of death. It’s a bittersweet ode to investment and the labor of love navigated through formal systems. Memo’s, surveys, check-ins, meetings, scheduling, rehearsals, comprising evidence of our debts to each other.
