The work Vivant! starts by stepping away from the overwhelming pace of the city and finding a sense of grounding in the mountains. The work explores how being in this natural landscape, enables a presence and vulnerability that questions our place in the world. In conversation with inhabitants of these mountains, the work investigates our emotional responses to the landscape. Being confronted with such an environment compels us to look inward. It invites us to pause, to observe, and to perceive deeply.
