Through video installation and performance, the audience experiences a day in the life of a dysfunctional robot.

Ktosiek is a flawed version of a house-cleaning robot. Presented with a commercial of a standardised product, Ktosiek struggles to live up to the expectations of a clean and quiet model. As he roams around the room and resists to clean the floor, the audience gets to know about his curious, stubborn and emotional character.

In the world of constant progress and system updates I aim to seek value in imperfect creations. I argue that technologies we create are the extensions of ourselves. Surrounded by frictionless, highly optimized devices, we risk projecting those same demands of efficiency onto ourselves and our relationships, loosing the human part in them. The part that is more spontaneous, filled with flaws, asking for some compromise. Personality that cannot be replaced by the newer model.
