A witches workshop deep in a techno-swamp, soil, plants, half submerged computer parts have all dissolved into one creature, the space breathes and reacts as it is maintained and supported in a cycle. This networked organism exists in a fluid conversation with their surroundings and through that the space becomes Kairotic, one that could not exist elsewhere, a gap in the weave open only for a short time, and must be seized or it will pass.

The Bleeding Edge is a ceremony of becoming – a ritual summoning of Tölva, Icelandic word for computer, a combination of Tala meaning number and Völva meaning oracle. They are a metaphysical technical worker, weaving together the threads of magick, nature, and technology. Using the framework of computational alchemy outlined in my research “Anatomy of a Daemon”, I summon and embody Tölva in the hope to become the system administrator of my own mind and to face my daemons. Consciously analysing patterns of thought and writing that code that does not serve us, I exist in conversation with my previous selves, dissolving and recombining texts and music from my archives. the spell performed is one of becoming, an ongoing transformation, debugged in realtime on the hardware of the body.
