I hate the plant, the plant hates me and I want to become Her

What kind of knowledge emerges when two bodies cannot touch?

Imagine a greenhouse where strawberries grow on human blood.

This story traces an impossible relationship between a human body and a plant that reject each other. Drawing from her experience of living with a rare and severe allergy, artist Margherita Soldati turns her own body into a site of artistic research, exploring the strange intimacy that can emerge between attraction and rejection.

Moving between scientific research, personal experience, and fiction, the work unfolds across greenhouses, clinics, and galleries, where blood, agriculture, ecology, and desire become entangled. It asks what forms of knowledge emerge when intimacy begins in hostility, when desire becomes entangled with sadism, and what it means to seek coexistence with the very organisms that threaten you. As the boundaries between body and environment begin to blur, the work imagines new ways of relating across antagonism rather than despite it.
