My graduation project consists of paintings that use the logic of both the dream and the rebus as an entry point. In an information-rich world, the abundance of information produces a scarcity of attention. Some of this information is visible to us, while some remains hidden. This perspective drives my exploration of painterly steganography: using painting to encode, conceal, and reveal meaning. Every new entry plays the devil’s advocate, producing more “?s” and, in doing so, changing the overarching meaning.
