From hand to hand explores how graphic design can be used as a tool to synthesize singular stories into a collective base of knowledge and a comprehensive visual archive. The publication, which is at the heart of this project, reimagines Femmage (feminine+collage) in the context of graphic design, by developing a visual language that weaves content ranging from feminist magazines and archival images, to entries from the “Encyclopedia of Feminism”, into bigger narratives. Amongst the main contents of the book, there are the author's original entries—footage from a series of embroidery workshops organised for the students of the KABK.
